The Royal Mint has released 26 10p coin designs. Their theme is the A to Z of Britain and each coin combines a letter of the alphabet with an aspect of quintessential Britishness.
This 10p features a traditional teapot steaming next to the letter ‘T’. Despite the rivalry between tea and coffee, Britain is still mostly a tea drinking nation, with the average Briton drinking 876 cups of tea a year.
